On behalf of all the staff of the Somogy County Police Headquarters I welcome you to our website. Our organizational unit, with my one and a half thousand colleagues serving at the headquarters as well as the seven police stations, is considered to be of a remarkable size compared to the police headquarters of the country. The circumstances of the county require the police staff to perform a varied and complex job, where I mean the security and crime related tasks performed on the whole water surface of Lake Balaton, the significant tourism connected to the lake, the motorway leading across the county, or even the southern border of the county being the outer border of Hungary and the European Union at the same time. Due to all these, the organization of the Somogy County Police Headquarters is characterized by all the service branches that are common with the Hungarian police –  except for air secutity.

Day by day, all of my colleagues try their best to meet the requirements of this complex system of tasks. With them, from directors to subordinates, my expectations are uniform. I want to establish and manage such headquarters that are capable of meeting the challenges of our time – even at the cost of renewing or ending practices of decades, and that, at the same time, are capable of establishing the kind of police which are effective, provide service, and win the confidence and the respect of the citizens of Somogy county. A means to accomplish this all  might be this website which, according to our purpose, not only facilitates orientation and administration but also helps deepening the two-way communication between our organization and you, the citizens.
