After the chequered flag, large numbers of spectators set off from the racetrack on foot and by car. Thanks to the co-ordinated direction of traffic by police on the roads surrounding the racetrack, the flow of traffic returned to normal by evening.

The 34th Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix is over.

After the chequered flag, large numbers of spectators set off from the racetrack on foot and by car, traffic became particularly heavy on the roads around the racetrack. The police involved in public order duties were able to monitor and assess spectators’ movement continuously with the help of static CCTV and aerial footage from the police helicopter, and were thus able to co-ordinate traffic direction. Normal traffic flow was attained in the evening as a result.

The race weekend in the Mogyoród area was relatively calm, the public order duties of the police were undertaken as planned and without particular incident.

The Pest County Police would like to thank those who visited Hungaroring as pedestrians or as motorists over the weekend for their patience and co-operation which made the job of the police easier.
