Large numbers of spectators are expected for the Formula 1 Grand Prix this afternoon, we would ask motorists to drive with extra caution and patience on the approach roads to the racetrack.
The Saturday programme also attracted large numbers of spectators to the racetrack. After the qualifying session and the other races, spectators were able to leave the parking areas in a continuous flow. Throughout the day police facilitated the flow of traffic around the racetrack, no reports of accidents were received.
Large numbers of spectators are expected for the Formula 1 Grand Prix this afternoon, many will be arriving by car. We would ask motorists to drive with extra caution on the approach roads to the racetrack. Please pay particular attention to hand signals given by police officers directing traffic, drive patiently in accordance with these signals.
We would recommend the following alternative approach routes to motorists:
For those wishing to travel to Mogyoród during the weekend of the race, but not to the racetrack, we would recommend taking the Szada exit from the M3 motorway to avoid congestion.
For those spectators whose tickets are not valid for places close to the main gate, we recommend that they approach Hungaroring from the direction of Kerepes and Szilasliget using main route number 3.
For traffic arriving from the M0 motorway, we recommend approaching via motorway M31 followed by either main route no. 3 or the M3 motorway.
