The 40th Hungarian Grand Prix is coming up
This is how traffic regulations are changing.

The 40th Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix will be held at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród between August 1-3, 2025. Police security for the event will again be provided by the Pest County Police Headquarters, with a similar number of police officers participating as in previous years. Police officers from seven countries are assisting them in their work again this year.
The sporting event attracts large numbers of domestic and foreign visitors, which puts a heavy strain on traffic in the town and the surrounding area. We ask residents of Mogyoród to only leave their homes by car if absolutely necessary, and for everyone to exercise greater patience than usual when traveling!
There will be a no-stopping zone in effect around the race track and on the roads leading to it from the morning of August 1, 2025 until the morning of August 4, 2025.
Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away by the police and can only be retrieved by their owners after paying the fine and the towing fee.
During the event, the following traffic changes can be expected:
o In Szilasliget, traffic will be two-way on József Attila út all the way to Main Road 3, but in the afternoon, a situation may occur where vehicles may only be able to travel away from the race track.
o In Mogyoród, on Gödöllői út and Dózsa György út, traffic will also be two-way, as traffic conditions permit, but from Mázsa tér towards Dózsa György út, motorists will only be able to travel towards the race track in the morning and away from it in the afternoon.
o On the road between Lake Kerek and the main entrance to the Hungaroring, traffic will be allowed to travel in one direction in the morning (towards the main entrance) and in one direction in the afternoon (towards Lake Kerek).
o During the arrival period, traffic from the exit at kilometer 19200 on the M3 motorway to Lake Kerek will only be allowed in one direction, towards the Hungaroring.
o Traffic will continue to flow in both directions between Aquaréna and the Szilasliget bus terminal.
o Between the main entrance of Hungaroring and the Szilasliget bus turnaround, drivers can travel in one direction from the main entrance (towards gates 7 and 6). At the end of the races, the traffic order will be reversed.
o After the race, you can leave the Premium indoor parking lot through Gate 7 and head towards the VIP road, but depending on traffic, the exit route may change to Kerepes-Szilasliget towards Main Road 3.
o From the Mogyoród suburban railway (HÉV) crossing to the race track, traffic will be one-way from the Mogyoród HÉV crossing to Gate 2 in the morning, and the other way around in the afternoon.
o After the race, drivers can exit via Csömör from the P2 (formerly Gratis II) and P3 (formerly Gratis I) car parks between gates 8 and 7, and via Mogyoród from the P1 (formerly Gratis III) car park.
After the race, there are two routes from Kerek-tó: the M3 motorway or towards Mogyoród. At the water tower, access to Mogyoród is via the Pince sor-Somlói út route.
You can get to the race track by public transport using the H8 HÉV line. Free buses will transport visitors from the HÉV stop at Kerepes to Gate 3 of the Hungaroring, from where all spectator areas are accessible. In the afternoon, free buses will take spectators to the MÁV and HÉV stops in Gödöllő.
During the race weekend, after the race, the police will decide on declaring one-way traffic depending on traffic conditions. The Pest County Police Headquarters is helping to keep things moving smoothly on all affected road sections with police guidance and information signs. Please follow the instructions of the police officers!
We kindly ask visitors to take into account that admission may take longer than usual, so please arrive early!
Information about admission rules can be found on the Hungaroring Sport Zrt. website.
We recommend that you park your car in designated, guarded parking lots and, in order to prevent crime, always lock it and never leave animals, valuables, or documents in the passenger compartment!
Please note that the police may introduce further restrictions and traffic changes depending on traffic conditions. We kindly ask visitors not to approach out of habit, to approach the event venue with extra caution, and to always follow the instructions of the police.
A temporary police station will be operating near the race track between July 31 and August 4, 2025. Its contact details will be published on the website www.police.hu at a later date.
